CANCELLATIONS, RESCHEDULES & MAKE-UPS
Cancellation & Refund Policy
All sales are final. No refunds will be issued.
To receive a class credit or DIY kit, you must email flo@mymakerscape.com at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled class or event.

Missed Classes or Events
If you miss your class or event, you may:

  • Pick up your DIY kit within 30 days of the missed session, orReschedule within 90 days (email flo@mymakerscape.com), or

  • Attend one of our Open Makery sessions to complete a project.

No-Show Policy
No-shows and same-day cancellations are not eligible for class credit. DIY kits for missed sessions may still be picked up within 30 days. Unclaimed kits after 30 days will be forfeited.

Make-Up Classes

  • Sewing: Make-ups may be available within the same semester. Please email flo@mymakerscape.com to schedule.

  • Art: No formal make-ups are offered. Students may continue or start a new project during their next scheduled class.

Accidental Duplicate Orders
If a duplicate order is placed in error, please contact us immediately.
A small processing fee will be deducted to cover non-refundable payment platform fees.

PAYMENTS, GIFT CARDS & CUSTOM ORDERS

Payments
All special events, workshops, and custom orders must be prepaid.
Transaction fees charged by payment platforms are non-refundable in the event of cancellations or duplicate orders.

Gift Cards
Gift cards are non-refundable and may be used toward any class, event, or kit.
They do not expire and are treated as cash, but are not redeemable for cash.

Custom Orders
Custom orders are prepaid and non-refundable unless canceled by MyMakerScape.
If submitting a logo for engraving or design, please provide an SVG or AI file for best results.

OPEN MAKERY

What Is Open Makery?
Open Makery is our version of open studio time — a chance to drop in, get creative, and work at your own pace. No appointment is required.

Participants may:

  • Choose from available DIY kits, wood or canvas projects, or small crafts

  • Use paints, tools, and materials provided

  • Receive light guidance from our team (Open Makery is not a formal class)

Children  must be accompanied by an adult.
All participants must sign in upon arrival.

FOOD & BEVERAGES

Guests are welcome to bring snacks and non-alcoholic beverages when attending events at our Indialantic or Cocoa Village studios.
Outside food and drinks are not permitted at partner venues, as most are restaurants or breweries with their own menus and beverage services.
Alcoholic beverages are permitted only during designated adult events, in accordance with our beverage license and local regulations.

PAINT PARTIES & WORKSHOPS

Pricing

  • Adults: Pricing is based on project selection.

  • Kids: Starting at $25 per participant.
    Travel fees may apply beyond 45 miles from either studio.

Minimum Attendance
All private events—studio or off-site—require a minimum of 10 participants.
If your group is smaller, you may:

  • Pay the difference to meet the minimum requirement, or

  • Reserve a table during Open Makery hours.

Travel Minimums (Mobile Events)

  • 10–20 miles: Minimum 10 guests

  • 21–30 miles: Minimum 12 guests

  • 31–40 miles: Minimum 15 guests

Setup & Host Responsibilities

  • Studio Events: Hosts may arrive up to 20 minutes early to set up food or décor. MyMakerScape handles all paint setup and cleanup.

  • Mobile Events: Our team arrives 30–35 minutes early (or earlier for large groups). Please ensure the space is ready and accessible.
    Provide any necessary entry or venue details in advance.

If attendance falls below the required minimum, you may:

  • Host your event at one of our studios,

  • Order DIY kits with a tutorial link, or

  • Pay the difference to meet the minimum.

Refunds are not issued for unmet minimums. Deposits and host fees are non-refundable.



SCHOLARSHIPS & REIMBURSEMENTS

Step Up for Students (Direct Pay)
MyMakerScape is an approved Direct Pay Provider for Step Up for Students.
Limited Step Up seating is available and only applies to full-semester classes.

To reserve a seat:

  1. Email flo@mymakerscape.com to request your Step Up reservation code.

  2. Once you receive your code, complete checkout and submit your EMA request within 24 hours to secure your seat.

If you prefer to pay monthly, you may register directly and submit receipts to Step Up for reimbursement.
Provider resumes can be provided upon request.
Please ensure your student’s full name is entered correctly at checkout for documentation purposes.

SEWING PROGRAM FAQs

Do I need a sewing machine?
Sewing machines are provided. You are welcome to bring your own (with power cord and foot pedal).

What if I’m a beginner?
New students should begin with Intro to Sewing or Sewing 101, where instructors guide participants step-by-step through each project.

PRIVATE EVENTS & DEPOSITS

Reservations
A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your date.

  • Small Groups: $100 deposit

  • Large Parties: 50% of the total cost due at booking

Your reservation is confirmed only when the deposit is received.
Remaining balances are due five (5) days prior to the event or on the day of the event, if pre-approved.

Refunds
Refunds are issued only if MyMakerScape cancels the event. Deposits and host fees are non-refundable.

ORDERING, SHIPPING & TURNAROUND

Processing & Turnaround Time

  • DIY Kits: Ship within 1–2 business days (may vary with order volume).

  • Finished Products: Ship within 3–10 business days.
    Turnaround times may extend during holidays or high-volume seasons.
    If you need an order by a specific date, please email us before purchase.

Local Pick-Up
Local pick-up is available at both locations:

  • 211 Willard Street, Cocoa, FL 32922

  • 344 Fifth Avenue, Suite 1, Indialantic, FL 32903

You will receive an email notification when your order is ready.
Orders must be picked up within 14 days to allow space for new orders.

SAFETY & PHOTO POLICY

Photo Release
Photos may be taken during classes and events for promotional purposes.
If you prefer not to be photographed, please inform staff at check-in.

Background Checks
All staff and volunteers undergo Level 2 background screenings.

Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers must have a recent Level 2 background check and provide a character reference prior to participation.

PRIVATE EVENTS AT YOUR LOCATION

Hosts must ensure the event area is paint-ready before arrival.
Due to insurance restrictions, MyMakerScape does not provide floor tarps.
Hosts are responsible for any excessive messes and agree to hold MyMakerScape harmless for damages or injuries.

Behavior Expectations

No running in our studio. No foul language, and no destroying of supplies or studio property.

Please send your kids in clothes that can get messy! While we provide smocks for protection, it’s always best to be prepared for some creative messiness.

We are not responsible for any damaged personal belongings or clothing.

Abusive or insulting remarks or actions towards our staff, instructors, or other participants are absolutely prohibited. Students who negatively disrupt class will be immediately excused from current and all future classes without warning. Ensuring a safe environment, both mentally and physically, is our utmost concern. Upon immediate termination, no payments or monies will be refunded.

If these are areas your child struggles with, classes at MyMakerScape may not be a good fit.
