Learn to Sew

Welcome to our Learn to Sew class, this is our  intro to sewing class for ages 7 and up! Our Intro to sewing is designed to be an introduction on how to use a sewing machine for kids ages 7 and up.  Learn basic sewing skills and basic sewing terminologies.

Bring your own sewing machine or use ours! If you plan to bring your machine, don’t forget to bring your foot pedal and outlet. Please ensure your child brings a regular home sewing machine to class. Toy machines may not fully support our curriculum, but our machines will be available for practice and learning. You do not need to bring anything else as we will provide all the tools and materials.

During the class, we’ll guide you through making a drawstring pouch, a  simple yet practical projects that will help you practice your newfound sewing skills. All necessary supplies will be provided.

After taking this class you can take our Sewing 101 class. This is a pre-requisite to taking our Sewing 101 class if you plan to take Sewing 101 in the middle of the school year. You do not need to take this class if you start beginning of the year – September 2024.

As we have limited seating available, pre-registration is required. We also have limited seating for parents. We highly recommend you checkout the nearby coffee shops or enjoy the scenery.
